Salary: Upto £25k + Bonus, Dental Plan, Pension and Paid Overtime

Test Engineer required for a global aerospace company to provide design support to the engineering test equipment team. Development of jigs, fixtures, cable harnesses and product specific test capabilities will be the key activities.

The test engineer will be expected to support the senior designers in the development of engineering test equipment which meets the requirements for testing of aerospace products.

There will be significant interaction with key test equipment suppliers.

• Design and documentation of cable harnesses and test interface equipment
• Management of suppliers
• Commissioning of test equipment
• Work with engineering development teams to ensure appropriate test coverage
• Documentation of test requirements
• Development of test scripts for development testing
• Support to senior engineers and team leader in the development of engineering test equipment

Job Requirements: Knowledgeable about electronic test technologies, electronics degree or similar, electronics design experience, experience of programming in a modern high level language, readiness to travel. Other requirements that are desirable: Aerospace test experience, quality systems knowledge, CAD skills, use of electronic simulation tools and training to be chartered.
