Job Description
Principal Design Engineer
Our client is a world leader in designing semiconductor solutions for broadcast and communications products. They have a vacancy for a Principal Design Engineer to lead the development of optical components for OFC.
We are looking for candidates possessing the following skills and experience:
* Strong leadership qualities and a significant level of previous experience in the field of design and development of electro-optic components with associated electronics at multi-gigabits per second speed, and preferably higher.
* You will be working in a world class electro-optic test and measurement laboratory and must be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the semiconductor lasers, photodiodes and other optical circuits.
* The successful applicant will possess all-round knowledge of the market, to include a thorough comprehension of the major vendors and consumers, together with a firm grasp of market pricing trends, and product cost trends.
* As an experienced engineer you will possess a strong drive for success with a proven track record, and will make a defining contribution to the division\'s vision for the future.
