Job Description

Our client, one of the leading investment banks, is currently seeking an experienced Strategic Business Analyst with a strong background in IPV\'s (Independent Price Valuations). The valuation control workstream will implement a programme of work in order to address known critical gaps in the IPV environment. Also design and deliver an end state IPV architecture and process framework, including holistic reporting which consolidates balance sheet, reserving and IPV from a single golden source of Finance data, that meets the needs of all stakeholders including Front Office, Finance and regulators. As part of the restructuring, the team will be divided into business aligned teams and a cross business strategy team. The strategy team, where this role sits, will have the responsibility for: * Development of the end state valuation control business requirements, process and architecture * Overseeing the business aligned deliveries ensuring that they comply with agreed valuation control principles and are aligned to the end state * Delivery of cross business functionality not covered by business aligned teams * Coordinating the relationship with the \'other\' strategic projects, and feeding business requirements into those projects where relevant eg P&L and risk This is huge programme of work and is of great importance hence the required experience is essential. To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the IPV processes/methodologies and ideally reserving and balance sheets. You will also possess the ability to think out of the box, and challenge current thinking in a constructive manner.
