TCL/LJ 12602: Our client seeks an Asset Manager for an assignment within its Children’s Services division. Please note that pay rates for this role are now negotiable.
We are acting for an E London based local authority
The post will be located in Ilford, IG1 and will be for 36 hpw, Mon-Fri, normal business hours.
This is anticipated to be, initially at least, a 4 to 5 month assignment starting 14th December 2008.
Please note that under a special arrangement we have with a leading umbrella company, temps who elect to get paid under this route will receive, in addition to a higher hourly rate of pay, the following benefits which are not available under PAYE:

Essence of role:
You will be responsible for supporting the development of the Education Service’s Asset Management Plan and Capital Programme.
You will also manage the implementation of capital projects carried out at schools, assist in the preparation of bids to DfES and other agencies and provide advice to headteachers and governing bodies in relation to the AMP.
Candidate requirements (*indicates must be CLEARLY EVIDENT FROM YOUR CV, not just your covering letter, to avoid auto-rejection by client) include:
*Degree or equivalent qualification
*Experience working in an education or public service setting.
*Understanding of current education issues
*Knowledge of asset management planning and its effective use within an education setting
*IT literate in MS Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook
*Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
*Ability to work as part of a team and develop effective relationships at all levels
*UK local authority or other public sector experience
