Our client a highly successful and established business are seeking to recruit an Experienced Head of Legal Services. You will be required to provide a responsive and professional legal service to the Team and client base. To provide appropriate legal solutions, advice and expertise within the commercial context of business. To grow the department and maximise the support given to clients and revenues generated from clients including undertaking legal project work and representation. To co-ordinate the activities of the Legal Team and provide professional support, leadership and example to others in the Legal Team. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES will include: 1. Advising on employment law issues and providing practical, expert and pragmatic solutions to the issues faced by Consultants and Clients. Undertaking legal projects for clients ensuring that a high level of service is consistently delivered and agreed project outcomes met, including budgets and timescales. Assessing and signing off all dismissals for insurance purposes. Providing legal advice and support. Providing legal advice and support to Clients. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
You must be a Qualified employment law solicitor. Have experience in working in private practice or similar organisation at a similar level. Detailed knowledge of employment law and general HR technical expertise. Some supervisory / leadership experience within a legal environment. A commercial and practical approach to legal issues and solutions. Previous experience working in a consulting organisation would be advantageous. A desire to improve technical legal expertise and confidence in others.
