My client is a growing distributions company based in the Basildon area. Due to continued expansion of the business my client is looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join them and aid them in the next stage of the company’s development. This is a brand new position and so presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to carve their own role and really make a difference within the organisation.
The position will include the following duties:
• Staff management responsibilities for the sales office, procurement, administration, warehousing and deliveries
• Ensuring efficiencies and motivating staff in the above areas
• Staff recruitment, appraisals and training
• Management of all process and systems, monitoring and improving
• Improving cost and time efficiencies in all areas of the business
• Stock rationalisation
• Budgetary control
My client is looking for someone with previous experience in all these areas as well as someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, motivated and driven to keep the company growing and developing. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will be expected to be his right-hand man and maintain full accountability for all areas of the business.
