    Account Manager

    Basildon, Essex / Home Based / Field Based

    £30,000 - £35,000 + bonus, car, benefits


    This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading company in the engineering industry. The Account Manager role has become available due to promotion of the current incumbent through the continued growth of an organisation that is already well-established within their market place. If you are a graduate and have at least 3 years key account experience, this could be the position for you.


    Working as an Account Manager within the Service and Installation department, you will be reporting directly to the UK Sales Director for the division. The purpose of your role will be to grow the business and capitalise on the unfolding opportunities in the designated account for all the company’s products and services, with a special emphasis on value added services and installation activity. Working with other members of the sales and marketing team you will be responsible for introducing, developing and supporting the company’s products within designated key accounts.


    Key responsibilities for this role will include:

    • Increasing sales by further developing relationships with target customers/clients
    • Formulating and developing business strategies and plans to achieve targeted growth and maximise market opportunities
    • Monitoring and analysing marketing and customer activity to provide information for long term planning and business expansion
    • Compiling presentations and running seminars / workshops for and with customers
    • Liaising with the UK Sales Management / Marketing teams to ensure the strategic needs of the customer are met
    • Working with Key Account Managers, delivering sales targets as specified in the budget and policy deployment

    This role requires someone who is well organised and structured who is capable of working well as part of a team. As well as Key Account experience you will also need a strong customer services background to allow you to develop a customer focused relationship which is essential in this key sales role. As this is an engineering firm, you will be required to provide some advice on technical areas so this would ideally suit someone who is technically minded or who is able to pick up technical details quickly. Ideally you will be educated to degree level however applicants with relevant experience will also be considered
