    Human Resources Manager

    Chelmsford, Essex

    £50,000 - £60,000 approx


    My client, a large Investment company based in Chelmsford is currently looking to appoint a HR Manager. This is a permanent full time position based within the Human Resources and Development Department.


    To be considered for this position you will need previous human resources experience and must be CIPD qualified or above. You will also need experience of working at HR Generalist level in a dynamic and pro active environment and must have previous financial services experience.

    The successful applicant will be the one point of contact for Human Resources & Development related matters and will be expected to own issues / queries from start to finish. You will be required to build and develop relationships with Line Managers, providing a daily HR service to both staff and Line Managers. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate that you have worked directly with Line Managers and specific departments in the past and have been responsible for all HR issues from start to finish. Other areas of responsibility will include:


    • Contributing to the continued development of HR policies and procedures
    • Promoting positive employee relations
    • Supervising and co-ordinating all recruitment and selection activities
    • Attending regular 1:1 meetings and management meetings to understand the business area objectives and business plans to enable effective prioritisation of daily workload
    • Managing the training needs analysis referral and attendance of business area delivering training nominations and onto central courses
    • Liaising with the Compensation and Benefits Analyst on compensation and job evaluations and ensure compliance with the established Compensation and Benefits infrastructure

    The ideal candidate for this position will have worked in a similar role before, have strong computer and communication skills, be able to remain calm when under pressure and should be self motivated. This position will NOT involve being responsible for members of the HR department however my client is looking for someone of HR Management calibre and experience. Due to the demands of this role, my client is keen to appoint someone who has experience of or is currently working in London and is therefore used to the culture and dynamics that this brings.


    We are looking for someone who has worked with SMALLER DEPARTMENTS of ideally 400 -800.
