I am currently looking for an experienced Supply Chain Improvement Manager to join my client who has recently moved to new offices in Basildon.
Your primary purpose within this role is to develop the supplies management skills within the company and improve processes within the external supply chain. You will be required to create and manage suitable KPI’s to ensure that group financial and performance based targets are met.
Your key responsibilities will be:
• Development of Staff and Supply Chain - Training, Development of processes and mentoring
• Auditing Skills for both Internal Process compliance and Supplier Process Management and Development throughout the supply chain
• Understanding of Root Cause analysis and Problem Solving techniques
• Be able to introduce Lean Principles where necessary into the Supply Chain
This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with at least 5 years solid experience in procurement and quality, within a manufacturing organisation ideally in the electronics/defence industry. It is essential that you have previous experience of auditing, lean manufacturing and supplier relationship management.
You will need good inter-personal and organisational skills and the confidence to mentor and develop staff and processes. You will need to be IT literate with MS Project, MS Visio and MS Office packages.
