Based in Cambridge you will perform simple synthetic organic chemistry transformations; prepare conjugated monomers, polymers, oligomers, and monomer precursors to a high standard with high quality documentation and reporting; and maintain the supply of standard monomers and key intermediates to specified standards. You will also assist with the day-to-day smooth running of the laboratories. You will be degree qualified or equivalent in Chemistry, & have evidence of organic or polymer practical laboratory experience. You will be able to learn quickly & work independently with minimum supervision following synthetic procedures accurately. Computer literacy is essential and familiarity with Windows 2003 & Microsoft Office products, and chemical drawing packages will be advantageous.
